Alpine Ascent: Intro to Mountaineering

The summit calls to those willing to prepare. This intensive, two-day program is the gateway to the world of mountaineering. You will learn the foundational skills of alpine travel from a certified mountain guide, including ice axe use, self-arrest techniques, basic rope work, and glacier travel protocols. Day two is a summit attempt on a local, non-technical peak, where you will put your new skills to the ultimate test. This is a serious undertaking for those with a high level of fitness and a desire to reach higher ground.
