Backcountry Nordic Touring Fundamentals

Leave the groomed trails behind and claim the untracked wild. This full-day program is for the intermediate classic skier ready to venture into the backcountry. You will learn the essential skills for off-trail Nordic touring: how to use metal-edged skis, techniques for ascending and descending variable terrain, and basic winter navigation and hazard assessment. This is a foundational step toward true freedom and self-reliance in the winter landscape.
