Winter Expeditions: AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Safety

To travel in the winter backcountry is to accept a profound stewardship for safety. Our AIARE Level 1 course is the essential, non-negotiable foundation for that stewardship. Over three days of intensive classroom and field instruction, you will learn the fundamentals of avalanche hazard recognition, decision-making, and rescue skills. This is the most important piece of gear you will ever carry.
